I asked my friend for a recommendation for a coach when I didn't know where to turn anymore. There wasn't a specific trigger, a particular problem I could name, but the feeling that something wasn't quite right was so obvious that I could no longer ignore it.
I received contact details, sent an email, and was able to schedule an appointment the very next day. I was nervous, curious, and unsure at the same time whether coaching was really right for me. After all, I didn't even know what I needed coaching for.

I spent the drive to the other end of the city learning vocabulary and listening to music. I did everything to distract myself. When I took the elevator to the third floor of the old building in Charlottenburg, my heart beat a little faster. My coach opened the door for me, and I immediately had a good feeling about her. Not about the coaching, which I still had respect for, but she made a good impression. And that impression was quickly confirmed.
I talked about my daily life, she asked questions, and BAM, so many things poured out of my mouth that I surprised myself.
Despite a prestigious job, a happy relationship, and a beautiful home, I was completely lost.
Having my coach sitting in front of me, being asked specific questions, opened something in me, and all the worries and thoughts that I hadn't been able to grasp before were present. What I knew deep inside came to light. Despite a prestigious job, a happy relationship, and a beautiful home, I was completely lost. Overwhelm, dissatisfaction, and guilt were just a few of the many feelings I had been carrying around for ages. We discussed my goals and desires that I wanted to pursue and achieve with her support and agreed on a rough process. My coaching began.
And it changed my life.
This experience enriched me so much that I also wanted to take up tools as a coach to help others find themselves – whether it's rediscovery or a new discovery. It's so easy to get swept away by everyday life, to not find time to reflect and analyze whether your own needs, plans, and dreams are being sufficiently considered. We compare ourselves with others, both offline and online, and often forget to ask if that’s what we truly want for ourselves.
It is difficult not to lose sight of oneself amid all the impressions and distractions. This is exactly where I want to start with my orientation coaching. With selected and proven tools and exercises, I support my clients in finding themselves, recognizing their needs, and determining what external conditions are necessary to freely develop and follow their own path.
Whether it's about professional (re)orientation, shifting life priorities, or strengthening the relationship and understanding of oneself, my orientation coaching addresses these exact points.
How does this orientation coaching work? It's simple:
✨ In an initial conversation, we focus on getting to know each other and analyzing the desired end state. It's important for me to truly understand what brought you to me, what you currently lack, and if you have any ideas about where you would rather be.
✨ Then, at regular intervals – I recommend 3-4 weeks between sessions – the five coaching sessions take place, during which we will focus on your strengths, values, and goals. The goal of the sessions is to empower you, to show you what special abilities you have, and how you can use them to change or live your life more in harmony with yourself.
✨ In a final conversation, we review this journey and discuss the best approaches for your further path.
I am forever grateful that my past self took the plunge and booked that first conversation. I did not know what to expect, but now, looking back, all my expectations were exceeded.
I not only got to know myself on a deeper level, but I also learned to accept that just because one way seems to be working for everyone (it doesn’t, obviously, but it sure looks like it at times), it doesn’t have to be the path for me. Don’t get me wrong; I am not coached to a level of having zero doubts or anxieties. However, I do know what is important to me, what my work life can demand from me, what I need in return, and how I want to feel living this life. Even though I still struggle like everyone else, knowing what I want to get out of life—at least for now—is one of the best things ever. It’s reassuring and calming while also guiding me through decisions.
So, in case I did not make it clear enough: I am a big believer in coaching. And I hope that being a coach now myself, I can support others on their path… maybe even experience something similar.
Wouldn’t that be great?
Have a beautiful week!
